City advises residents of critical emergency electricity work in parts of San Remo and Bayview

The City’s Electricity Generation and Distribution Department would like to inform residents in parts of San Remo and Bayview of emergency electricity work in the area. Residents will experience an electricity supply interruption today, 24 February 2025 from approximately 14:30 to 22:00. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused.

The interruption will only affect the San Remo and Bayview areas as indicated on the map. To view the area outage map, visit:  https://bit.ly/3Xbcfwh  

Residents are encouraged to double check the map to see the affected streets.

The outage duration is an estimation and restoration could be delayed due to the complex nature of the infrastructure work. Our teams will work as quickly as possible to complete all work within the approximate time frame of between 14:30 to 22:00.

In the event that power is not restored within communicated timeframes, residents are advised to check the City’s official communication channels, including the City’s social media channels, or contact the Call Centre before logging a service request in relation to the planned maintenance work.

Please note:

The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the interruption. Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution and to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on.
